Man stuck in toilet for 4 days

A Scottish man was flushed with emotion this week after being trapped in a  toilet for four days.
Retired teacher David Leggat was locking up his local bowling club in Aberdeen when he popped to the loo before heading home.

Unfortunately, the door jammed and the outside handle fell off while he was in the cubicle, leaving him trapped inside with no mobile phone to call for help.

Because he had previously been on a survival course, the enterprising 55-year-old kept warm by dipping his feet in hot water, although he admitted he could not sleep much because it was so cold.

Sustenance came from sips of cold water, until the club's cleaner finally heard Mr Leggat shouting for help.

"At least there was a toilet to use," the optimist told Aberdeen's Evening Express newspaper after his ordeal.

"The only thing I regret is not getting trapped behind the bar."
