Forget 'Caution Horses', pehaps we should have 'Caution, Toilet on Board'
A coach
toilet
exploded on a major road running through Cambridge.
When Bryan Taylor-Balls' vehicle was hit by another coach on the A11 at Barton Mills, its
toilet
"exploded" and showered its contents all over a passing car, the Cambridge News reports.
Mr Taylor-Balls' vehicle was empty when he turned right at a central reservation and the other coach ran into him from behind.
Although the car driver escaped injury, magistrates acknowledged the unsavoury aspects of the incident.
"It was unpleasant and the driver had to have his car professionally cleaned," noted prosecutor Rosalind Clark.
Driver Mr Taylor-Balls pointed out that he had driven for 55 years without an accident, before the 72-year-old was fined £200 with a £15 victim surcharge.
"My
toilet went across the top of the car. I'm sorry for the trouble that was caused - I consider myself a very steady driver," he remarked.
