The Jewel septic tank conversion unit can be installed either after a septic tank or as a complete sewage treatment system by the addition of a pre-settlement tank, (usually a septic tank ) prior to it.
The JEWEL septic tank conversion unit connects to a septic tank outlet and is capable of treating the sewage effluent from up to 70 people (resident) or 168 office/factory staff.
The JEWEL meets the new EU wastewater standards for direct discharge to a watercourse. This is a high quality fibreglass septic conversion tank, manufactured in the UK. The JEWEL septic tank conversion unit can also be used after a sewage system that is failing to meet the consent to discharge standards as well as solving your septic tank problems.

How the JEWEL Septic Tank Conversion Works
The JEWEL septic tank conversion unit works by blowing air via a small compressor, through media in its first chamber, the biozone. This aerates the sewage and causes aerobic bacteria to grow on the media which then digest the organic matter. As sewage flows into the biozone from the septic tank, cleaned wastewater flows from the biozone to the final settlement chamber in the JEWEL septic tank conversion unit prior to discharge through the outlet pipe. An air-lift, operated by the compressor, returns any sludge back to the biozone in the Jewel so there is never any need to empty the JEWEL.
