QUANTUM is the UK’s smallest and most affordable Activated Sludge Process (ASP) sewage treatment plant. Designed as a compact alternative to the VORTEX, it offers excellent effluent quality (97.3% pollutant reduction), low noise, zero odour, and flexible airflow adjustment to suit different occupancy levels.

Available in 6, 8, and 10 person models, QUANTUM can be tuned with a simple hand-turn valve, allowing it to operate efficiently even at 10% loading, something most sewage treatment plants cannot achieve. This makes it ideal for holiday homes, small households, and properties with varied or seasonal use.

The blower sits discreetly beneath the lid (no kiosk required), installation costs are low, the one-piece tank construction provides durability and long-term reliability.

Compact, unobtrusive design

The smallest sewage treatment plant on the UK market, with minimal visual impact. Only the lid is visible, and the blower is housed neatly beneath it, no kiosks or above-ground equipment required.

Adjustable to suit varying population

Thanks to its manual airflow control, QUANTUM can operate efficiently even at very low occupancy (as low as 10%). This prevents underloading issues common with other treatment plants and makes it perfect for holiday homes, second homes, and properties with fluctuating use.

Energy-efficient operation

QUANTUM's 40W blower offers lower running costs than many comparable ASP systems (often 50-80W). This makes it affordable to run year-round, especially compared to larger or older multi-stage treatment systems.

Low maintenance and reduced servicing costs

The one-piece GRP tank prevents leaks or structural weaknesses, while the automatic sludge return system reduces desludging frequency and ongoing maintenance requirements.

Clean, compliant effluent

With pollutant reduction up to 97.3% and ammonia levels as low as 1.8mg/L, QUANTUM meets EN 12566-3 certification and is approved by the Environment Agency for discharge to watercourses (subject to General Binding Rules).

Quiet, odourless performance

Aerobic digestion throughout the tank eliminates odours, and the low-energy blower runs quietly, which is ideal for residential settings.

Optional pumped outlet

Where gravity discharge isn’t possible, QUANTUM can be supplied with an internal pump station (IPS).

Delivery

All QUANTUM tanks must be inspected upon delivery before signing the Proof of Delivery (POD). Any damage or missing items must be noted, a clean or unchecked POD means the haulage insurer will not cover any claims discovered later, so please always check before signing.

Delivery Vehicles

• QUANTUM tanks are delivered on curtain-sided lorries.
• Tail-lift delivery is available for smaller models.
• Smaller vehicles can be arranged if the property has restricted access, please advise when ordering.

Unloading Requirements

Customer must provide suitable unloading equipment (forks or rated lifting straps).

No Hiab or forklift is provided unless arranged at additional cost.

Timed Deliveries

AM/PM delivery requests can be passed to the haulier (not guaranteed). Some regions, such as the Highlands and Islands, may not offer AM/PM options.
